Meet The Founders

Gary and Teresa Lee

Founders of The Father's Hands, a disaster feeding ministry

Many years ago the Lord put a desire in our hearts to go into areas that had been hit with natural disasters and minister hope and encouragement through preparing meals for victims and volunteers. We were newly retired when floods hit Waverly, Tennessee in August, 2021. With the encouragement of our local pastors and church family, we knew it was time.

Using borrowed equipment and a lot of volunteer help, The Father's Hands was born. Following Waverly, we were able to provide meals at four different locations in Mayfield and Dawson Springs, Kentucky.

Since then we have partnered with churches in Selma, Alabama; Amory, Mississippi; Hohenwald, Tennessee; Clarksville, Tennessee; St. Charles, Kentucky; and Newport, Tennessee.

In 2022 we became a 501c3 charity, enabling people to receive tax credit for their donations. Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Jesus. It is truly a blessing to be able to give a small comfort to someone who has lost so much.

Proverbs 19:17 - Message translation

Mercy to the needy is a loan to God, and God pays back those loans in full.
